The Cake Monster

Doc Jaime is an Apple fanboy, and is my go-to guy for all things iPod. On his birthday, his friends got him not a cake but a box of 20 cup cakes that looked like the home screen of an iPod touch.
The cup cakes were created by Emily, the Cake Monster. On her site, she says: “Baking is my passion. i have turned this passion into a small business. if you are interested in ordering cakes for any occasion, just leave me a message here in multiply and i’ll contact or email you back right away.”
At the birthday party, it took us quite a spell before we finally picked up and ate the cup cakes — they just looked too good to be eaten!
Each cup cake was lovingly made of a moist chocolate base and a topping of colorful fondant. The verdict: two thumbs up! The cake was of a high quality, and was rich and German-chocolate bitter — exactly the way I like chocolate.
The fondant was not too sweet and didn’t have that soapy taste at all, and it had that al dente consistency that I enjoy in high-quality fondant. My only complaint was… it wasn’t big enough! It was so yummy I couldn’t have enough of it.
The Cake Monster has no brick-and-mortar shop. They do business purely online, so the only way for you to order so far is via their Multiply site. Click here to go there now.
