My friends and I had a sumptuous Italian meal last night, and I’d like to share one of the photos I took at that restaurant (one of my ultimate favorite dining places).
Can you guess the name of this pasta dish?
If you think you can name it, just leave a comment on this post. The first three people who can guess the name of this dish correctly (wrong spelling, wrong!) will each win a gift certificate for a Davao restaurant worth P500 from me.
(Can you believe this food shot was taken with just a camera phone? I used a Nokia N82 — a beautifully-crafted mobile phone, if you ask me!)

I’ve seen that combination of pastas referred to as “la bandiera” on some menus, italian for “flag”.
Looks to be a fabulous combo of pesto, alfredo and bolognese.
Saluti!
Yeah, the Italians sure love to put their flag on their food, don’t they? But no, that’s not the name of this dish. Try again!
i guess the food looks like a combination of carbonara, pesto sauce and elbow macaroni.. hehehe.. “carboroni?” hahaha… lol my goodness
“Carboroni”?? Hahaha! Funny!
Looks so yummy! Haven’t been to davao will go if you give me the GC to your fave restaurant. lol. I love those pastas! I’m addicted to carbonara. Let me have that GC. lol. i know i’m late already. Anyway, for your italian cravings go to this site and discover oscar bolognese: http://www.foodista.com/2008/02/24/oscar-bolognese/. You’ll definitely love it.
@Melanie D — Late for what? Nobody’s won the contest yet… Hint: the name is actually quite descriptive of the dish.
Hey, nice blog! Thanks for the link and thanks for visiting mine!
ay alam ko yan kuya blogie. red pasta with white spaghetti and all everything nice. hehehe. pwede consolation prize?

@jigs — Actually, it’s not spinach pasta. The green pasta is pesto. You got the carbonara right. The red pasta is penne puttanesca.
Hint: the name has the number 3 in it.

@jigs — Sa amin? No, this place is not ours. The resto is owned by a friend of mine, though.
