Share your recipes!

When the Internet was still relatively young, there was a mailing list called Mindanao-L, which was owned and run by my friend, Bob Martin. It was in the days long before Yahoo!Groups or even Friendster. If I remember right, I became a member in 1996 (which was when Davao City finally got connected to the Internet).

What was particularly interesting in that online exchange was when listers shared their recipes with everybody. It was fun! And, it was helpful in relieving the tension when some listers were becoming too hot-headed, causing word wars online. But I digress…

So I thought maybe we could relive that here. No, not the flaming. The enjoyment of sharing recipes with one another. If you care to send some over, I’d be glad to post them here. It could be your grandmother’s sinigang mix, or your husband’s kare-kare secret. I’ll see if I can share my father’s famous kinilaw concoction.

Anybody who’d like to send me a remarkable recipe — Filipino, French, Indian, Italian, etc. — please use my contact form (subject: “Share My Recipe”). Feel free to upload a photo of the dish, so we can see how it should look like when cooked! razz
