I love food. Well, who doesn’t? But I’ve discovered that I also love writing about it.
Why “Davao Delicious”? Well, I had already started food blogging via my Davao blog, but transferred that activity to this one in November 2007 when I acquired davaodeli.com. Originally, the domain name was supposed to be for a delicatessen in Davao. When I saw that it was available, I immediately grabbed it. I couldn’t believe my luck. But, it turned out the proprietors preferred another identity for their Internet presence… Which turns out to be a good thing for me!
One of the first food-related projects that I started, the Davao Food Trip, came about because of my having Davao Delicious. It’s an inspired effort, if I do say so myself. It’s a win-win situation: restaurant owners get to have their establishments promoted, and bloggers get to dine for free and have something to write about.
But the bigger winner is my beloved hometown: with more and more down-to-earth content coming out on the Web about Davao City, the better the global image of the Philippine South becomes.
